Gavin Dykes has over 20 years of
education experience. He currently splits his time working for a
range of organisations on the use of technology to support learning
both in the UK and internationally. He researched and produced the
Maltese e-Learning Strategy, published in early
2008, and he led delivery and chaired the steering group of
Moving Young Minds, an international meeting for ministers
of education from 2004-2008. In 2008, over 60 countries were
represented at that event, and over 50 ministers participated.
Gavin has presented widely on
innovation, technology and learning to a range of
audiences. Recently these have included: Hewlett Packard's
Philanthropy Strategy Group at Palo Alto (2008); The RSA's
Innovative Schools group at the Royal Society for the Arts in
London (2008); and ministers of education and officials at Moving
Young Minds 2008 in London (2008). He has made significant
contributions to Ireland's Digital Strategy and contributed to
England's strategic vision. He has also led workshops for six
Middle East countries (for the British Council) to develop a self
review process for e-readiness.
