Haif Bannayan is a business consultant
with niche expertise in launching public-private
partnership opportunities and conducting projects and
programmes with a focus on strategies for integrating
technology in education. Haif, has extensive local and
regional knowledge in education reform and technology trends from
around the world, and has launched several national programmes in
Jordan as well as conducting projects in education in other
countries. He was awarded the First Class Excellence award
in education by the Prime Minister of Jordan.
Currently, Haif is the Chief Executive
Officer of the Jordan Education Initiative Company - a
leading public-private partnership programme launched with
the Government of Jordan in collaboration with the WEF in 2003.
Formerly he served at the Ministry of Information &
Communications Technology (MoICT) in the capacity of
Secretary General, after having served 13 years in the private
sector in several industrial and trade organizations in areas of
operations, manufacturing, quality and general management, and
demonstrated strong skills in deploying strategies to increase
annual sales, improve efficiency levels and introduce new market
entrants.
Bannayan has a Bachelors and a Masters
Degree in Engineering from the University of Birmingham, an
executive management diploma from INSEAD, and is a certified
project manager.
