A 3 day Workshop for the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training was delivered in Port-Au-Prince, between June 14th and 16th, 2011.
This workshop was organized with the support of the
Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and Microsoft. IDB supports a
large program for the reconstruction of the Haitian education
system together with the MOEVT, with the cooperation of many NGOs,
private and public partners. Offering education to all children in
Haiti is a strategic goal for the President and authorities. Still
recovering from the 2010 earthquake, the MOEVT faces an astonishing
challenge in achieving this in Haiti which includes rebuilding the
infrastructure, updating the curriculum, training teachers,
organizing the system as a whole and defining the processes that
pull all of this together.
